Without a doubt, EBMM has changed my mind about luthiery: it is the finest guitar I've ever played,* and I believe the finest 7 string there is, even my custom shop guitar that hasn't been finished yet included. That's how good I think it is. The neck is the best I've ever seen, touched, owned, or played. The electronics and hardware far exceeded my expectations, and I had no idea I ever thought there would ever be a bridge as good or better than the lo pro. The pickups are modified crunch lab/liquifires, which are great stock and even better now, and positioned correctly. All around, I can't say enough good about this guitar, because when something's really really so good that is indisputably the best, words only fall short of the thing, and the experience of playing said thing. I highly encourage any J-custom owners to look into these before you're next j-custom first. Here are some lousy pics:

*(and I only include this so you can appreciate my taste in quality, and don't think im just a little kid frontrunning and bragging about a guitar he spent too much on, but in any case, I think the XI is the best player even though I have what some have considered to me as arguably the finest electric guitar collection in the world, including the highest end from Ibanez, ESP, among others, that are also just worth thousands/tens of k's alone, and as another friend said, if I include all the transients that were part of my collection if only for a short time, some of those make it an even cooler lifetime collection because they weren't just expensive but nice either rare or nice high end custom shop/vintage pieces, but again this is only to qualify my opinion as something more than just a teenage fanboy lol.)
