NGD.....Extreme Gibson content!!

I've been in a major Gibson phase lately. I had one of these many years ago and was forced to sell it when the wife.......girlfriend back then, told me she was expecting our first son. To this day, I've considered this as the best guitar I've ever owned and have rued the day I sold it. Well the timing was finally right, and I managed to snag this one at a pretty good price.

Yup, it's the Gibby MIII......pretty damn hard to find, and IMHO.......severly underrated. I'm well aware that many people find them to be ugly, but not me. Alot of really nice features on these ones too. OFR, the mini toggle brings you into another set of pup settings with position 5 being a kill switch, set neck, maple board.......etc. I mentioned on another board that if I had to say what they're most similar to, I'd think it'd probably be the super highend US made Hamers.....Chapparall, Scepter....etc. Next up besides a good Les Paul, I'd like to find a Gibson Victory, and eventually a WRC and a U2..........yeah, I know....this could take awhile.

Yeah, I heard they did too. If I'm not mistaken I think I saw a pic of one of them sometime ago. I remeber there were some differences though. Epiphone made their own version of these back in the day too........the only thing is, they just plain sucked. Maybe I'm guilty of being a snob, but I just can't see myself buying an epi. Now a MIJ Burny or Greco or Tokai......even the Yamaha Lord Player or Studio Lords....yeah, but an Epi....I can't see it.

This one is indeed in pretty good shape......one ding on the edge, but aside from needing a setup, pretty damn good. I'd say 8.0 to 8.5 out of 10.

Wow, what an exceptionally un-Gibson guitar. But it's cool man, I would totally buy one if I had the cash. One just doesn't except that from Gibson, it's crazy!

I own one in black. She plays like butter and the reverse headstock is sweet!

Exellent buy!

If I don't get an explorer then an MIII will be my next guitar buy - I keep looking out for one in decent condition that isn't silly money - yours looks like hardly been used - superb!
