NGD! GAS strikes again.

Won this on the bay for 2 Bens. It needed a good cleaning and set-up but I love the factory paint job. Why can't they dress up black guitars like this now? It is a Japanese built RGR470 in deep wine. Only sold in Japan. Serial #F509613. Specs fron Japan catalog are:
Wizard neck with rosewood fretboard and sharktooth inlays
Neck and headstock binding
Reverse painted headstock
Edge tremolo
V6 humbuckers
Cosmo hardware
Resoncast body
Plays very nice with thin Wizard neck and unstoppable Edge trem. Pickups suck but will be replaced with a couple of red Paf Pros I think.

Re: NGD! GAS strikes again.

I saw this one on evilbay the other day! Definitely cooler than my 470! I agree than black guitars should be this stylin! Reverse headstock and sharkteeth...totally awesome. Since it's a Fujigen guitar does it have the original wizard neck profile?

I saw that too--almost made a run for it. Great snag!

Very nice! Yeah red paf-pros would be killer in that!

And get those nut caps turned the right way.

Re: NGD! GAS strikes again.

According to the Japanese catalog it is a Wizard neck and due to the Edge I believe it does have a 430mm radius. Nut pads are fixed. Pics are before complete set-up.

Re: NGD! GAS strikes again.

awesome guitar, I've never seen one before. When you swap the pickups maybe you could score some hardware matching knobs like on the RG560 (smooth knobs with no writing).

Re: NGD! GAS strikes again.

My first Ibanez was a Roadstar II that had that exact same color combination.

I still miss it actually
