NGD (Ibanez prestige 8 string content)
Got this yesterday, it's an RG2228A,
awesome guitar! :rawk:
now I gotta learn how to play that thing....
at first I was a bit worried about 2 frets that were not filled/sealed 100% with wood filler, but looks like this won't cause any problems. I made a thread about it here:

I tried playing an 8 string (Ibanez, Scheter, ESP) a couple of weeks ago.. I never felt so lost..
It was like a brand new instrument... I was able to adapt to a 7 string relatively quickly.. But an 8 stringer is a whole different animal..

Lovely guitar dude!
But get some thicker strings! Something tells me you only have the .09-.64 set on there. That's nowhere close to being enough

Congrats!! I hope you'll have no problem adapting to an 8! It should be fun!
I second the notion of thicker strings. You may end up with the lowest string near an .80. I have a normal Artcore in standard, and my low E is still a .52.

Thanks everyone!
I think I will stick with these strings.
I have another 8 string (Agile) which has thicker string on it. Downside of that is that is it very hard to do bendings (the Agile also has a longer scale than the 2228 ).

Why can't you get these with a trem like Macalpine's. If you could I would consider it.
