Thought I would post a thread for my NGD...I love the Prestige models (this is my 3rd prestige - other 2 being RG's) and I got this guitar off CL locally for only $415 so I figured this was too good a deal to pass up.

Plays really nice and I quite like the black pearl finish - my only concern is a neck pocket crack that I didn't notice until after I got it home but it doesn't look bad...might only be a surface crack but it's hard to tell. This is my 2nd S model in a span of a month, except this one just needed to be cleaned up whereas the other will be a project.

Anyhoo, thanks to all who provided advice in my thread soliciting opinions on the Prestige S1520. Very happy I was able to get this guitar - especially at that price. Here are a few pics:

Sick deal, and dat headstock! This probably goes against all the rules in owning a guitar but I would think if you can rub a little water on the crack and if it disappears then I'd imagine it's just an acrylic crack if it doesn't then... it'd probably still not to big of a deal as long as the neck is tight and doesn't move. Could also take the neck off and look at the inside of that guy, my assumption is it's just a finish crack since the crack doesn't seem to look like it's lined up with the grain. Happy NGD!

Thanks guys! the crack is pretty small so I'm hoping it is a surface crack and it won't be a problem...I haven't had the neck off it so I guess I could do that to look more closely but it seems good right now so I think I'm gonna go with it and enjoy the honeymoon for now
