NGD: Ibanez RG721 CNF

Me and the wife had to come to Japan on family business. The plan was to pick up something used, but after spotting this beauty that all went out the window. Needless to say I got my Christmas and birthday gift early! I had planned on possibly picking up another J-Custom next summer, but the one I was looking at is a hard tail like this but it only comes in black.......boooorrrrriiiinnnnggggg. Plus some of the specs are the same as the J-Custom I own.

This guitar however is unique. It's a lot lighter than what I expected, but it has a great natural tone. I think I am going to switch to a different wound string instead of the nickel wound to try and mellow it out if in fact the strings will do that. My only concern is what do I use to clean the body and headstock since it's not your typical finish......endust no wax? Anyway here is the link to some pics.......enjoy!!

That looks pretty nice! Drop a crunch lab and liquid fire and you'll be good to go.

Congrats!

Thx! I'll have to give the pups a good workout when I get home before I make any changes, but I'll definitely keep those in mind! Can't wait to play it at my next gig.
