NGD Jackson USA Goodness

Just picked up this Unique animal. 1988 Jackson Limited Edition 88. It is in pretty good condition overall. The pickups have been swapped to EMG's, but I have the original set inbound to take her back to stock form. I love the old Jackson/Charvel necks almost as much as the Wizard 1's. There were only 500 of these made as they were originally slated to be a 12 string model then Grover changed his mind.

Thanks. I like the JT-6 fine, I have had several of them. Its no edge, but still a nice trem IMO...better than most licensed Floyds anyway. The fine tuners are a bit of a pain, but once your all tuned up and set up there isn't a bunch of fiddling with those anyway.

Re: NGD Jackson USA Goodness

I've never gotten to own a JT-6 but work on quite a few guitars with them. I don't like the early versions that have studs that screw directly into the body (no anchors). I know they changed it pretty early on, but I don't know when.

I have a JT590 now that I like a lot but it doesn't have the hardened insert for the intonation screws that later ones came with. I'm trying to find a baseplate that does have the insert that I can swap out.

I have never seen one with screw in posts, but I wouldn't like any trem set up that way. I like the Jackson Schaller floyd as well, and the Techuchi (sp?) ones.
