As I was very impressed with the True temperament neck of my Orange multicolor Jem, I decided that i needed another guitar with the same fretting system that would allow me not to overuse my swirled baby....
I was lucky enough to stomp upon a Jaden Rose Original Series Purpleheart Custom with a true temperament neck!!!!!!! The guitar was on specs by another Terry (great players share same names ;-) )
I liked the looks but more over, I was luck enough to hear (and like the sound) on the following youtube video
Jaden was the creator of the swamp ash body of my Orange multicolor Jem, so as I had only POSITIVE experience about his work and his communication, I was pre-occupied that I would fall in love with this babe.
As soon as I came up with a deal with the owner, Jaden did a PERFECT set-up to my likes (9's, Eb tuning) and the guitar was brought to me, by a friend of mine who was travelling from England to Athens.
When I got the guitar I liked the JADEN logo on the hardcase, showing that he really cares about his bussiness
Then, opening the case, I looked at the guitar.....
very impressive, but I was expecting Purpleheart wood to have a more neon purple shade :-(
The neck was almost identical to my other guitar,
and when I held her, she was ready to play...
I took her in the studio and played her on a Randall compo (first direct, then through my Line 6 live). I was impressed by her sustain, it went on forever, despite the distortion level.
Initially, I wasn't thrilled by its clean sound, but when I plugged her on a Marshall compo, I changed my mind.
I'll record (HD video) today the rehearsal of my 80's tribute band with both TT guitars and I'll post videos :-)
