The serial reads F1, guessing 91, It's an RG-750 in sexy CA Red with a nice sparkle to it. Nicely bound neck, great frets and plays like it should (After giving her a spa day and cleaning the funk off.) One thing that I am not in the know about is the neck plate. It has a 7101 Case Ave Hollywood Neckplate as opposed to the usual Bensalem, PA. plates.
What might the difference be?

IIRC, that plate is correct. I think Hoshino moved the "H&S" shop to Cali in late '90.


I have both plates, The 2 '93 plates are Case Ave. I don't know if that helps.......

Congrats! Awesome guitar. I bought '92 750 CA from a Jemsiter. It had a set of white Evos in it. I've since changed to a white FRED for the bridge and a cosmo Lo-Pro. Also had the back of the headstock signed by Vai. No nut cracks or neck joint cracks. Mine has the Hollywood neck plate also. Top of the line back in the day next to the JEM. Enjoy it.

There were 2 U.S. locations receiving Ibanez parts in the late 80's early 90's that were taking care of paint and assembly,both mentioned above. If you have that style backplate that says just 'made in Japan' then the guitar was painted and assembled in Japan.

Mine says Hollywood.
