NGD: MIJ Ibanez RG

Wassup dudes!!!! Just found this out a vintage guitar store locally. I got this with the pick-up installed and out the door for $240 flat!!!!! Man I am excited. Someone tell me, how do I identify what model RG this is????

Sooooooo Freaking Nice.

I've owned 2 prestiges, a JS1000BP, and a '77 CN-250. I think this might be the nicest, and for by far the cheapest loot.

The Serial# is F0127215

Can anyone Identify this? I put a White Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge. It looks like it has a Fender Tremolo?

Hummm. The body belongs to an X-series Cort guitar. Cort X2 ...

The neck should belong to a MIJ RG421

I agree with irondevil666; that looks like a MIK or MII RG neck mated to some kind of off-brand body, maybe a Cort or a Washburn?

Re: NGD: MIJ Ibanez RG

yeah it's a two piece maple neck. it plays absolutely awesome, I couldn't really imagine someone going to all the trouble to pass it off as authentic, but that's disappointing. a pretty great sounding and playing guitar though with the JB. Man. I wonder if there's any way to verify this 100%. I suppose if I checked the pick-up; it says made in japan on the neck, and has an f#.

Jeez. I have never made this mistake before. This is a reputable vintage guitar dealer where I bought it.

Re: NGD: MIJ Ibanez RG

I called and he said "honestly man.... I don't know if it is or not"

And I said well, I didn't budget for a non-ibanez guitar and it's misrepresented.

He said "Bring it back and we're done."

Thanks guys.

A**holes man. He acts like he's offended selling this junk as something it's not. I will rip them a new one on facebook if I don't get a full refund

Re: NGD: MIJ Ibanez RG

I got a full refund.

I went to three pawn shops. Found a Jackson Kelly Quilt Maple top with a fitted case for less than I paid for the Ibanez. Pre-2002 and either made in the USA or Japan.

serial #90603001

Case is form fitted Jackson/Charvel. Anyone know where this is made. All jackson could say is it's Japan or USA. Licensed Floyd. Two piece maple neck.
