NGD/New pickups RGR321EX

The guitar isn't absolutely new, I bought it for about 2 months ago and really like the guitar but I was never really happy with the INF1/INF2 pickups in it which are too dark and muddy in my opinion. So I thought I should try a pickup change for the first time and this morning my brand new Tesla VR-Extreme set arrived. These pickups are usually only made in black but Tesla custom made 10 sets for a retailer in UK in Zebra color.

Changing pickups was easier than I thought and I also improved some not so good soldering back there. I haven't played it very much with the new pickups yet, but my first impression is really good. I can't tell which ones I like best, these Teslas or the DiMarzio D Activator in my RGR465M.

The guitar cost me 320Ģ (269Ģ for the guitar, 51.50Ģ for the pickups) which is really good value for the money in my opinion.

Cool guitar!! The zebra colour looks well , def a nice job you did. I have always wondered what those Tesla pickups are like because I keep coming across them on the bay.

I like it. I'm just not thrilled with the reverse headstock.

you can kindly leave sir.

reverse headstocks seem to be love it or hate it kinda thing I LOVE them on the right guitar. This definitely floats my boat in every possible way. If it had offset dot inlays.... .... im drooling thinking about it...

Slick guitar. Diggin the zebra pu against the black. Watch out with that reverse headstock(they tend to encourage 'headstock envy' hahaha)

Wow, very Ernie Ball EVH looking. I miss my Ernie Ball EVH. I should have never sold her. The black and white contrast is stunning. Play her in good health.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Speaking of reverse headstocks, I'm not a big fan of them myself. But I must say that it really suits this guitar.

The reverse head stock reminds me of 80's hair metal.
