NGD Rare s540?
NGD - Found this on Craigslist. As near as I can tell, it is a S540QSTB. I can't find it in any of the catalogs, they only show the red and black. Lo-pro edge, Wizard neck and QM pickups. Does anyone know if these were rare, or Japan only market? It has a few dings on the front, but not down to the wood. Overall, I would rate in an 8 out of 10.

I had a chance to buy one a while back. It was also QSTB, although I don't remember the color being as vibrant as yours. And I also couldn't find any info on it, even in the catalogs.

I would say a bit rare with that top. Don't let the custom made inlay fool you though.

There a quite a few custom made inlays on these S's around the 90's.

Neck plate says North Hollywoood or maybe Pennsylvania?

If so, if the neck comes off you will see H&S stamped on body and neck.

H&S custom shop...look it up. Still made in Japan but assembled in the USA. IMO they made it seem like it was made in the US but hey, MIJ Ibanez guitars are the best, No?
