NGD: RG752MDY

A beautiful, second-stock RG752MDY arrived today, courtesy of Ibanez Rules. Bit of a hassle getting it through customs (new Australian customs laws) but here we are. Pics here as I can't seem to figure out how to embed them in this thread:

Decided to buy this as:

1. Never owned a 7-string.
2. Never owned a maple-fretboard guitar.
3. It's goddamn bright yellow.

Before buying this guitar, I had a total of about 5 minutes playing 7-strings. Am surprised at how easy the neck is to get around with the extra thickness though, feels like I could play everything I can on a 6-string on this one too.

Very pleased with how it's looking and playing straight out of the box. Absolutely love the fluorescent, green glow the DY has to it too.

Will definitely take some getting used to the 7th string. It feels so comical going back to my 6-string RG after playing the 7-string for even 10 minutes, it feels like my brain is completely scrambled.

Re: NGD: RG752MDY

Congrats! This is the coolest prestige that came out this year, IMO. I could see this model (EDIT: color*) becoming a sought after 752 in the future, especially if it's not around for too long. Great choice indeed, and nice pictures!

Gotta say, these PAF 7s sound great. Markedly nicer than the stock ones in my RG1421 which is a hard tail too.

I really like the PAF7's. I know they haven't gotten a lot of love in some circles, but I think that they had a great medium output mid heavy characteristic to them.
