Hah, talk about alphabet soup!
Looks - Looks great, pictures actually do a pretty good representation of the guitar. It looks better in real life, but doesn't everything?
Feel - is good...I think the back of the neck could be "faster" but the neck is super comfortable. I spent the better part of 45 minutes doing a quick neck shim and bridge height adjust. The action is more even and quite a bit lower than I'm used too. I'll probably end up bringing the bridge up just a tad as I think the shim was enough to bring everything where I like it. I used tin from a soda can folded in half and put between the two rear screw holes.
Frets seem to be of pretty even height and the ends are nicely rounded. String/neck alignment was good to go out of the box.
Sounds great, you can really dial a variety of sounds out of the pups.
ZR trem? Eh, I prefer the Edge or Lo Pro Edge honestly. I just doesn't It holds it's tune like crazy though!
It's not like the Jems I used to have (90HAM, 7DBK) and I wish I had a 70v to compare it against.
Overall, great guitar!

Thanks - sorry the trem is fine, technically is the ZPS system that is a bit strange for me. Cosmo hardware are on it, the fine tuners are a tad stiff. Hahaha, it's a bit late but having this reminds me of how much I love Jems!

Re: NGD: RG920mqmzrdt

It would be nice to at least have the maple as an option on any of 'em! Man it's been so long since I've had a maple neck...My first Ibanez, and EX350...A 91 or so? I found one just like it on eBay a long time ago, got nostalgic and ordered it. All of these are long gone unfortunately...

A lil 90ham porn just because

Anyhoo....Spent another 30 on it this morning, removing the stabilizer bar, ensuring the trem is flat, trying to get the perfect string height. There are some high frets and they could use a better polish.
I wish it had the HSH config for sure but it's really becoming a joy to play as I invest a little more time in the setup.
Another reason to buy from Rich - Not meaning to plug him but the 90HAM I had that I bought from him was impeccable. The price you'd pay for a good setup is far worth it!

ALSO - I'd love to hear someones opinion who owns this and a Jem70v?

Thanks! That's the one I should not have let go

I did swing by a Guitar Center over the weekend and handled a 70V. Tough call...I think I prefer the Jem just by a bit. The tone and trem, I'm not sure the'yre better, but they're what I prefer. That said though, the 920 I got is better "out of the box" than the 70v they had. There's gunk in the paint, sawdust that's painted over in the lions claw, frets were a bit rough. The inlays looked great though and the action was spectacular.

I don't mean to make it a 920 vs Jem70v thread but I think if I could re-do it, I'd grab the Jem. The price of the case makes them pretty dang close.

Both great guitars though in the end.

Do you still have your 920? Curious to your thoughts after 9 months of owning it now.
