Now you know why I was asking about production numbers! Picked this up off the 'Bay a few days ago. Still needs a clean-up and set-up, but I'm very pleased!

DAMN!!!

Really nice. Hopefully, someday, one will be mine,..... someday.

May ask what you've payed for it? They're quite rare, and expensive, I believe.

The seller dropped the price a few times and our friend TAorama got himself a great deal, if I remember correctly. I love that thing!

Re: NGD: S540TNBK 6/12

I paid $995. I actually only saw the one listing, but it may have been listed previously.

I've wanted one for a while. Missed a CA one at the Dallas Guitar Show two or three years ago, and seems like that one was $1,400. Told myself, "If it's still there when I walk back by, I'll get it..." And of course it wasn't there when I went back.

This one's in really clean shape with the exceptions of some buckle rash on the back and some rust here and there. I've got plenty of NOS parts, so should have her cherry in no time.

Re: NGD: S540TNBK 6/12

BTW it's a 540S, not S540
the visual difference is the dot inlays vs the oval/abalone inlays

LOL! You're right - my bad. Even says on the catalog page "540STN." I'm a dumbass. Sorry! Gotta start getting somebody to proof my threads!

Mods? Any chance of getting the thread titles fixed???

The guy that put mine on eBay couldn't sell his either so I got it at a reduced price.
