Traded Korean BC Rich NJ virgin for it. Pickguard was painted black with this horrible stubborn plastic automotive type paint which required me to scrape it off by hand w a straight razor...brutal!

Multiple cracks at the locking but, now sealed. Trem posts holes extend all the way through the body! Stupidity has no bounds.

Eventually want to get locking trem posts as these are simple Philips head posts. For a moderate whammy user like me it hasn't been a big deal.

All original solder joints, nice to know the electronics haven't been messed with. As limited as the stock pups can be I'm not going to start a fruitless pickup quest with this one. I like it being a time capsule of sorts.

Awesome guitar. Thought I was getting my 1990 Coral Mist Metallic back, but it ended up fine.

It was definitely one of those where you make sure your tetanus shot is up to date before you start cleaning it up :-)feels good to rescue a gem like this from A terrible environment, even though it was definitely left with some issues. Now that I've sealed the hell out of the neck cracks, I haven't seen any evidence of any structural issues. Just a great feeling guitar.it has a lot more character and cojones then my previous 550.

and a word to the wise, flipping the neck pickup to get the active coil closer to the neck in position for makes a huge difference in how believable that Strat tone is.
