I've had this for about a month now, but I finally got around to getting some video of it down, so here I am.
Essentially, this is my take on a JS1000, tweaked to my specs. Chambered swamp ash body, quilted maple top, contoured neck joint, a somewhat chaotic, wavy birdseye neck, Original Floyd Rose, PAF Pro and Fred pickups, 3-way blade with a coil tap on the tone pot. I had Warmoth finish the body in blue burst, but id a tung oil finish on the neck myself - 8 coats, and I buffed back all but the last two to leave a thin gloss,
This is an awesome sounding guitar - very clear and piano-like in the attack, and loves mid-gain sort of liquid but not completely saturated distortion. It plays pretty spectacularly, too.
Video - first, me doing a playthrough of one of the songs on the album I'm wrapping up - sorry, I forgot to normalize the audio here so it's kind of quiet:
And then some clean stuff with the coil tap pulled:
I'm completely thrilled with the way it came out!
