NGD x2

This first one was labeled as an RG-570, and when I called--the clerk answered the correct questions. When it arrived--turns out it's a 1991 MIJ RG-470. I paid very little for it to begin with, but I called the store manager and complained--he knocked off another $100.00 from it! So, I basically got it for near nothing. I'm not a fan of anything below the 500 series, but this one is emerald green, was MIJ, and has an original Edge--and came with the hardshell case. Once I set it up--it plays like any of my 570s. I really like it. Yes--I'm going to do a little something with the finish, Ryc--think Green Lantern!

This second one is the RG-770 I got in trade from EvolutionKillswitch. I love the white Crunchlab & Liquifire--my first guitar with those pickups and they sound sweet! This monster is in great shape, and is a 1993 model. I'm not changing anything about it.

Yeah, but at least you get to go to the hawker stands! I miss those.

I couldn't make friends with the 770DX VM I had a year ago, but this one is much better.

Feel wise--not much. Event the looks are very similar. The neck binding and sharktooth inlays are about it--and the neckplate.

There's something undescribable about the feel and sound of direct mounted pickups in a square heel guitar......something your DX should have had, but obviously didn't.

I LOVE the 470!!!! It's a 570 with different jack and heel contour....... You can't go wrong with this one bro!!!!!!

And you know how I feel about 770's..... no real reason to have another guitar really.....LOL. She looks AWESOME!!!!

+1 to that. I have a 93 MIJ 470. Same color! First guitar I ever bought, back in 94'. Mind you, it has now gone through some cosmetic changes (new paint job - think Dukes of Hazard car orange - monkey grip, set of Evo's etc.) But it remains a sentimental favorite.
