NGOD

New Guitar Order Day!!!!

Today is my birthday and I threw down some $$$ for an RG7620! It's a 99' and it's in INCREDIBLE condition! Can't wait to get it. I bought a 7421 back in 2001 when it was new (I couldn't afford a 620, and wasn't really into whammy bars at the time), and now I have the one I should have bought back then, at a fraction of the cost!

Re: NGOD

Congrats. I don't want to hijack this, but...

I was just looking on the Ibanez Wiki at the 7620. I have a 7621 that I bought new in '98, and the Wiki says the only difference (that I could see anyway) is that the 7621 has a fixed bridge. Thing is, mine is a 7621 but it has the LoPro Edge... so my question is, s there anywhere on these guitars where they have the model number displayed? All I have to go by right now is the receipt, so they could have just screwed that up...

Anyway, congrats on the guitar, I love mine. I switched out the pickups of course but other than that these guitars are killer.

It's stamped underneath the neck heel if I'm not mistaken. If that trem looks factory then you most certainly have a 620 my friend. The only difference between each of the models was the trem/fixed bridge option. Much like 420/421.

Re: NGOD

Thanks. As I was typing I thought, well hell the music store probably was confused. Mom and pop place. They had just come out with those guitars and I bought the first one they got! Anyway those are great guitars and I don't see them for sale very often...

Re: NGOD

Yeah I can't wait to get it! I always regretted selling my 421 and have been looking for a good 620 for quite some time. The market for those guitars has really bottomed out and now I'm going to benefit from it! muhahaha!
