Normal Necks and five Piece Necks

Well, i mainly use an 1989 USCGR and a RG 2550MZ (Maple/walnut fretboard) and the USCGR is struggling to stay in tune recently and the 2550 is doing just fine

I Can't help but feel that it might have something to do with the huge temperature drops and rises we're having in the UK at the moment, and i think the reason that the 2550 is staying in tune the best is because its got a 5 piece neck, rather than the USCGR which, well isn't. My American fender is also doing something similar, but not as much (But has a thicker one piece tele neck).

Temperature, but even more airhumiditie have a great effect on wood (necks).
Its true that the "sandwichnecks" are better recistend to weatherchances.

My stage guitars are setup totaly different due to the heat of the stagelights.

Oh god, i completely forgot about stagelights!

I might have to retire the USCGR till the climate gets a little more consistent....

Id also like to mention that i blocked up the USCGR too.

Blocking the trem shouldnt be of any influence.( if thats what you mean).

I only had to adjust the trussrod a little and sometimes the stringheight.
Be sure your on your gig at time so you can see how your guitar reacts to the climate chanches and you are still able to adjust bevore going on stage.

It's never done this before, till recently. Damn the northwest of the UK is a tricky place to live. These guitars were built for an American audience for a reason i suppose. Then again, i'm sure there's places in the US with as bad weather as the UK...

Ya, I live in the US midwest, and the low yesterday (Wed) was -4˚. The high next Thursday is to be 75˚! My 5 piece neck Prestige is staying fairly consistent, yeah!
