Oh my god ive got such intense GAS - *drools*

http://www.ibanez.com/rg/rg_specs/rg421bk/rg421bk.html

oh yes, and it will be mine.

if only this had come out before i bought a damn floating floyd RG! of all the trouble i jsut went through getting my trem cavity routed, ect..this is almost upsetting.

IMHO, Ibanez could probably fare well with more fixed bridge options. personally id like to see a standard S-470 or so with a stop bar or fixed bridge. *holds his breath*

I've got the RG421, and I've got the SC420, which is an S with a shortstop II fixed bridge. I love them both. They're both Japanese made too, which is of course good.

The TZ and AN are going in the RG this week, and I'm thinking of putting Breeds in the SC.

ok, THANK YOU.

lol i was in a sam ash store a while back and played an SC420. in my opinion the nicest guitar next to the original artist (not the AX) that ibanez has ever made. the $750 price tag is a bit much for this poor musician, but now that you rehashed my love for it, im probably going to have to sell a kidney for the extra money, but hot damn its so totally worth it.

Honestly, I like the RG421 better than my SC420, even though it was like $250 less. I think the strat-style bridge is more comfortable than the short-stop bridge. But that's just me. I wouldn't give either one up for anything.

The 470FX? not many of those around, pretty similar to the 421 with the exception of the middle single.

There also was a RG521, with a regular wizard, don't know if it was actually imported here though.

Japan market currently has a RG621.

it's a trans red 470s(now you'd call it an S470TR) made in 1991 in Japan. it's got the 6 in a line headstock and a gibraltar II tune-o-matic and quickchange II tailpiece. no pics but i'll try to find some online or somewhere archived on my old computer(not my pic, somewhere off the internet). it's got H-S-H PU configuration, mahog body and maple neck, black hardware, old neck joint.

this guy has one in black?(right click and save as to view)

and there one on evilbay that's dark trans blue

oh that's a different one.
There was also a RG470FX, which was basswood with a strat-style stringthru like the RG421. The S470 sounds cool though.
