Old Couch and Ibanez pics

I finally bought my first scanner a few weeks back and found these old photos

Back Row: S540LTD before all the stickers, RG3120DR that I wish I still had, RG7620
Front Row: Gibson Les Pauls, Gothic, Smartwood Studio, my first Standard, 81 Custom from before Gibson made a Zakk Wylde Signature

Jack Rhoads EX Pro, textured stone finish, 81 Ibanez Destroyer 2, the other guitar I wish I never got rid of.

Notice the old Fostex 4 track.

Nice collection. Also, I like your "stop bed wetting" sign.
Too bad you got rid of the 7620, and the destroyer.

Re: Old Couch and Ibanez pics

The 7620 was no big loss personally, except that I bought it when they were expensive. The kick in the nuts about the Destroyer is I traded it to a store and think I only got about $100 for it. At the time I wasn't into pointy guitars anymore, really wanted a new synth for the studio, and $100 seemed like a lot of money.

Re: Old Couch and Ibanez pics

502, I sold it to a friend for $200. He dropped it off the back of a truck and didn't even break a tube. It's noisy too, but I know I replaced the tubes when I was 18-19 and I dont think they have been replaced yet. I still love the sound of that amp.

Love the 80's ART FX and MIDI board. Pink really does the trick.

I bet all those Gibsons were over priced.

Re: Old Couch and Ibanez pics

Surprisingly they were all cheaper than the RG7620, they just didn't have good pickups for
shred, jazz, blues, country, br00tal death metal, classical Yngwie, Paul Gilbert, Satriani, tone and weren't even real Dimarzios.

Re: Old Couch and Ibanez pics

Ah! the Fostex Four track brings back so many memories.
I had one when i was a kid and being a kid could not make it operate it to save my life.
Everything i ever recorded on it sounded like i was recording through a tin can with a string attached to it. I think i still have some recordings. What year was that?

Re: Old Couch and Ibanez pics

I had a sunburst Destroyer like yours back in the day -great guitar and bulletproof.
...and I just sold my CS Zakk LP. I see we have similar tastes -must be a mod thing.
