OLP 612 (doubleneck)

Hey everybody.
I'm interested in a doubleneck for ages. However, budget is not high at the moment.

I saw this one on the 'Bay: 280203585893

Has anyone played one of these?
Would it sound good with decent pickups?

Re: OLP 612 (doubleneck)

If it's like the other OLPs, you may need to do a little cleanup on the fret ends and some other things. My OLP MM1 got converted into a nice little guitar with new pickups and an OFR. I will say that I know a few people have said they've had major issues with these, but I've never really had a big problem after going thru 4 or 5 of them. Either way, I'm betting that since these are relatively cheap, it'd be worth trying out at least. Worst case is you re-sell it for probably about what you paid.

Re: OLP 612 (doubleneck)

I've had my MM1 for about three years now, playing about and hour everyday, its held up really well. And i've never had it setup by a pro, the action is a bit high for my taste but not too bad, it could use new pups though. Always wanted one of the double necks but can't find them new anywhere anymore. I'll try to get some pics of my MM1 up soon.

Re: OLP 612 (doubleneck)

I got to play one of these double necks at a local store called Randee's Music. I didn't get to plug it in to an amp to see what it sound like, but I can tell you that from my experience there were no glaring defects or anything like that. Given what gpenguins and skrewflanders said I'd go for it. Best of luck!
