Which one is this?

Sorry to create another thread seeking advice on another random Ibanez but I would love to know which guitar I had years ago. I loved the finish of the guitar and the neck. Had the bridge pickup replaced with something from DiMarzio but can't remember the pickup anymore. After getting a Wolfgang I ended up selling several guitars and this was one of them. Sorry I don't have another picture closer.

By the way I'm back in the Ibanez groove again. Have a RG321MH waiting for me at a local store. After playing a RGA121 and a few others the RG321MH felt the best and had the look I wanted (wood grain/natural).

Thanks!

Re: Which one is this?

Why do you say sanded off? the headstock on mine was natural too. I agree though RT650.

yup, RT650 and probably the GFR (Gravure Flame Red, or something like that) back when photo flames started hitting big time.

The headstock comes natural, even with Gravature Red/Ocean blue. Your body seems to be sanded off like this one. Or probably its just your camera, making it look like its not red.

its been converted to hardtail**

Re: Which one is this?

There was actually one more color for the RT650, apparently only sold in Europe. The 1993 European catalog lists "Dark Amber" (DA) as a color option. Pic here:

http://www.ibanez.co.jp/anniversary/..._id=203&now=12

In fact, the US catalog has the same page, only the color of the RT650 is switched to the red that was available here. I'd never seen the DA color until I bought one here on Jemsite a couple of years ago.
Cheers,
Bert

Re: Which one is this?

Yeah it was red. I loved the color. Probably the best "looking" guitar I had for years.
