Gibson.

I don't like the necks and the finish they put on them. I also don't want to spend a zillion dollars on a guitar like that.

Only one? Dean. Still haven't played one worth buying, even secondhand.

Re: The one brand you'll never buy

i have learned to never say never. i dislike fender and gibson and use to hate the way PRS guitars played but i have played at least one or two guitars from all of them that i wouldnt mind owning. i actually have grown to enjoy most PRS guitars.

i would never own a wangcaster .... that is for sure.

I just dont like the shape and limitations of using the whammy bar most not 24 frets like ibanez superstrat... Maybe those guitars might have better tone and can also shred

I finally had a chance to pick up a PRS for the first time this June..........it was a very expensive custom 24 model. ( I think that's what they call it.) Anyway, it was on the wall behind the counter at this music store when I was on vacation. Neck was a bit thicker than I like, being an Ibanez guy, and all I could think was.............my similar mahogany/maple cap Ibanez 3120F is made just as well as this guitar, easily. Fret work, body , binding, overall solid feel.... etc....just reminded me of my 3120F, probably because they are made of the same type of wood combos. I'd take my 3120F any day. I handed it back knowing I'd never want to own one, while longing to pick up my 3120F

Re: The one brand you'll never buy

I don't like PRS just on an ethical level. I have no problem with a CNC produced guitar but I do for $5K and above. I mean a PRS Dragon is over 10K with no binding, no ebony board etc. And that big neck heel, WTF?

I don't dig the way they jing their customers for their limited options, Gold hardward being $500.00 extra and they give guitars away to every flash in the pan nu-metal band.

Wrap around POS LP Jr. style bridge on guitars that cost thousands. WTF?

The more you post, the bigger my grin gets!!!

Remember kids, when a guitar costs ten thousand dollars, we damn well better see some binding!!!

Re: The one brand you'll never buy

I don't like PRS, but I wouldn't dare to say PRS, as maybe one day I end up playing one of those..
Same as Gibson, Suhr, TA, BC Rich,EBMM and so on....

but I'm sure will never ever again buy :
1. Jackson
2. fender, squire
3. ESP, edwards, LTD, Grassroots and any ESP brand families.
4. Yamaha
Been there, hate them.

Thats funny, because Cort were the ghostbuilders for every korean Ibanez ever made, including prestige models.
