Talking This one is different and interesting!!

I found this at a pawn shop of course. They had it marked at $800 but I finally convinced them it was fake and they gave it to me for $250. So the tuners were total crap as were the pickups. They said EMG on them, but there are not EMG's. No battery, ect. So anyway, I invested $100 for real EMG's and some nice Gotoh tuning keys and now I have a totally killer guitar. This thing is HEAVY. Its gotta weigh at least 11 pounds, maybe more. Check out the headstock!! It says Gibsun!!

EMGs are stock and Zakk's choice. It's one of the things that makes this unique and sets it apart as a factory Gibson as well as the wild paint jobs.

I love the paint, thats why I got it. I went EMG because I love them too and the "original" has them too!

I didn't read the fake part in the first post. The split diamond inlay did look wrong but with your EMGs your guitar probably sounds just like the authentic Zakk guitar. I would dare anybody to spell out any sonic differences.

I think the Zakks also come with maple fingerboards and some of them have satin finish on back of neck to facilitate faster playing. I think the less expensive Epiphone official Zakk guitar is all gloss including back of neck. It looks like Zakk's actual Gibsons have had a fine grit sandpaper taken to the whole guitar, or maybe Zakk puts them through hell and also dings them.

Only his SG/Flying V signature model seems to be new and shiny looking.

Of course, Zakk also has a unique way to attaching his straps, too.

I think your right, this should sound just like the actual Gibson. So far it sounds great. I am going to use it for my bands Drop D songs!
