It will be perfect and then some if Dylan is building it. I already own
a 7 string Cimmerian and have 6 more on order. My current Cimmerian
has the flatbacker profile but I have one incoming with the shredator
profile. Dylan will build you any neck profile you want. I'm gonna have
him build me a few guitars with the Original Wizard Profile as well.

I'd be real interested to hear what specs you are thinking on and trust
me those can change over the time you will be waiting for your build.

Oh yeah....Edge all the way...best trems ever made bar none!!

Sounds fantastic... 7 Daemoness guitars! I'm going for a 6 string, probably a V, following a historical concept that Dylan seems really excited to develop. I'm yet to talk to him in depth about the design since we've got 20 months to wait yet. It could end up a 7-string, I do appreciate my current Ibanez Universe, but I think I'm a 6-stringer at heart.`Other specs: floyd rose of some description, BKP pickups (I love alnico Nailbombs) - wood types I'm happy to leave up to Dylan's artistic vision; especially as I have no particular allegiance to dark or bright sounding woods - both can sound fantastic as I've experienced with my two J-Customs.

I do love the Edge, I just wish the arm socket/bar/bushings idea was better designed. I hate that the perfect amount of whammy-bar-play according to your preference only lasts for a few weeks maximum before coming too loose again.

How do you find the flatbacker in comparison to the wizard profile?

Good stuff. At least you got in before the order book was closed. Keep your concept between yourself and Dylan.

The flatbacker is actually based on the Super Wizard so if you've played a 7 string JC or Prestige recently it will feel very similar to those. I have a build nearing completion with the shredator profile which will be thinner again. Should be here in the next 2 months or so.

I have Nailbombs in my Cimmerian (mahogany) and they sound great. They are actually Dylans pickup of choice as well.

Interested to hear that you have gone for a V. Will it be a classic V or the Hadian shape for example??

I really like vicious looking, smaller Vs like the Hadian, so I'd be very happy with that shape. But I do know Dylan has done some one-off V shapes before so I'd be up for that too. Not so much a fan of the old big classic flying Vs. I have never owned a V, so I think it'd be a nice change to all my strat-based shapes

I am considering Mahogany seriously for the body since my J-Custom is Mahogany with Nailbombs and I love it. However, that guitar is an S series so it's really thin, but it's still heavy due to the wood choices - a lot of Mahogany and a lot of Wenge. Maybe a guitar with more substance and those wood choices would be uncomfortably heavy, to me.

Just a thought Craig, maybe an O.E. with a push in Floyd arm would work best for you?

I wasn't aware a push-in floyd arm would fit an Edge! Is that the case?

I don't know, but I DO know the floyd screw on arms will fit on an edge.

I also know that if anyone can make it fit seamlessly, it's Dylan
