Paint corrected 540R = awesome :D

Ok, 540R came in great shape, especially for a 24 year old guitar. That said, the paint looked like butthole. I buffed out most of it, and its 100% better. Gonna have to wetsand to get the rest of the scratches out.

Before :

you get the idea...

AFTER :

edit: the "scratch" or whatever it looks like on the bottom picture was just a piece of lint.

Awesome work, looks amazing! I don't know why it never crossed my mind to that with my own guitars!

Car buffer Meguirs Swirl and Haze remover + foam pad.

This paint is super thick, and super hard, so I was able to go really fast

Thanks for the compliments lads.

Yes, I've come to find that out myself. The clear finish is amazingly durable on these guitars. I'm actually kind of surprised that Swirl & Haze remover does this well. I figured you would at least have to begin with a more abrasive cutting compound.

Theres still some deeper scratches, but I'll probably just wetsand. Im not a fan of using the wool + deep abrasives myself, I've burned the paint on my audi doing that, and I hate myself to this day lol.

I hate to say its "good enough", but ... lol its "good enough"
