PGM 301 assistance needed HELP!!!

Hey i have a Pgm 301, love it, but my problem is the single coil...

IS the guitar wired so it has lowered output? My guitar can not really be heard on the single coil channel by it self, and when split with bridge or neck can barely be heard

so full humbucker sound 10, split 5, single 1 (1-10 volume out put wise)

Belive it or not, i emailed paul about this when he emailed me back on one of my videos on youtube {( i did a cover of hurry up on an accoustic at a guitar clinic a couple years ago and he liked it } but not to get a big head here lol, he said...
"I rarely use the middle pickup by itself. But I like
the weak one because it combines well with the split
humbucker for great cleaner sounds."

Thank you,

Now thats all fine and dandy, and i agree, but i really cant here the pickups unless i boost alot or turn the amp up, but then if i dont turn it down AHHHH! the amp is really loud and that isnt good for a live situation

So my quesiton is... Does anyone know how to fix this? Could it be my guitar wired wrong? Or is there a wiring diagram to fix this? Could it be the pickup being to weak? ext.

SO i look to my fellow jemsiters to help me out, anyone else with a PGM 301 have this problem?

thanks- Dakota (playsguitar) and if you wana see the video of me playing hurry up here it is, not the best but hey i had only been playing guitar for about 2 years

Re: PGM 301 assistance needed HELP!!!

ive set it as high as possible with the same result in output really really weak, i mean i just want it t be functional like a JEM, i had a bad horsie for a little while and the pickups being breeds sounded good but i could switch the 5 way and get a variety of tones, with the pgm it is really just bridge or neck because the other 3 settings are just impractical

Sounds like you need to check your wiring. If you don't know how, take it to a guitar tech.

Rock on!

If that was factory set it shouldnt have a problem, they are naturally low output so don't expect it to be screaming what volume are you playing on? As other people suggest check the pickup height.
