PGM 700 Paul Gilbert Signature Violin shape !

Hi Guys !

I'm looking for 6 years for the pgm700 now but i had no success ! It's the violin shaped guitar paul gilbert had played during his last tour with mr.big and on the alligator farm album !
Do you know where i can get one ! maybe in japan or do you know someone who owns one ? Would be the greatest thing for me !

please tell me if you've got some information of any kind even if you saw one some time ago !

I would pay any price !

thx and many greetings from Germany

Markus

I don't know if you'd be interested in it, but there's a copy of a PGM 700 body that someone had made on eBay. That's the closest I've ever seen to one being sold anywhere.

Oh well, here's a link to that auction anyway.

No.

No original to jig from (I prefer to only work from originals)
Nearly no interest from the public to justify.
STILL wouldn't be an actual PGM700 ;-)

Do any of your PGM's have tassels up the neck?

That's what I figured. No matter how it turned out, it still wouldn't be the "real thing". I can understand that.

That's not quite the right word... it's 'fringe'. Typically a 70's and early 80's thing. Thin strips of hanging leather commonly found on the underside of sleeves on leather jackets. Although, the fringe fashion went much further than that- purses, skirts, boots, coffeemakers, etc.
Of course, fringe goes back much farther than that, and used many types of materials, but I think that 70's-80's thing is what Paul is trying to kitsch-in on.
Paul had strips of fringe on several of his guitars. Here are a couple so you get an idea:
