Hi everyone, I'm getting an Ibanez RG Prestige 3550MZ in Desert Yellow and I'm thinking about getting a black pickguard for it and I also want to get different color pickup covers also to kind of make it look like a jem, you know with the green or pink pickups and purple knobs. Do the pickup covers just get screwed on? Or do I have to put wax in between the pickup and the cover? I guess I'd just like some info on this process because I want my guitar sounding the best it can sound.

Single coil covers are swappable. Just take one out and put the other one in.
The humbuckers cannot be swapped... but you can always buy some bobbin toppers. I personally don't like them but...

You would have to change the entire pickup, or repaint it, or put some sort of colored stickered on it, which you can get from eb4y and such.

If you do a search on ****, I have seen someone selling stickers that are color matched to the RG series guitars. Much safer than pulling the bobbin covers.

I have green and pink stickers for sale, for 6 or 7 string.
