Nice. I noticed you reversed the bridge pickup. Is that intentional? Either way it is gorgeous.

Actually, I didn't install the pickup myself, and didn't know that was the reversed position. What changes does it make to the sound, I might have to flip it real quick. I just remove the metal ring, unscrew it, flip it and replace it right?

I think it is the neck pup that is NOT reversed.

Looks good

Either way (bridge backwards or neck not backwards), the bridge pickup isn't in its "normal" position. What audible differences are there (does it sound thinner, more bassy, etc.) and what procedure do I follow to flip it? I don't have a lot of experience messing with the pickups so any advice would be awesome. Thanks.

Well on my les pauls it appears that the coils with the flathead, adjustable pieces are towards the neck in the neck humbucker and towards the bridge on the bridge humbucker. You could look at any guitar site with pickups resembling those and see what position they are in on there production models.

K, I'll do that, is that an easy fix? Would I even need to take off the mounting rings, or can I just remove the height adjustment screws, flip the pickup, and put the screws back in?

And I understand what was said about the neck 'bucker now, it's the one that needs to be switched I suppose. I still don't understand if the direction affects the sound any.

I am really not a guitar buff. (Still learning) What i would do is drop Rich (master tech) and email at www.ibanezrules.com He will probably respond more efficiantly than the jemsite board. Sorry i couldn't help! What kind of pickups are those by the way?

6000+ members here, and I'm burried in personal crap and about to shut the website down for 2 weeks to clear it up!!
Just flip the bezel around, or just the pickup.

Well, I dunno what a bezel is haha (sorry), so I'll just flip the pickup around. The bridge pickup is a DiMarzio Tone Zone and the neck is an Air Norton. They freakin' rip!
