Please Help with annoying setup problem
So I have had my RG321MOL for about two years, good guitar for the $$$. But one thing that always has bugged me about this guitar. My saddle heights are almost maxed out in height (mean they are really high off the bridge plate) and I still have some buzzing around the fret board. Now it's set up as close to spec as possible
Relief = about 0.8mm at the the 9th
Action at the 9th = about 2.4mm low E side, 2.2mm high E side
Using Daddario 10's and the the nut is cut a little low but still useable, fretted at the 3rd i still have some play at the 2nd and 1st.
I have been thinking that i should shim the neck to get a better neck angle, am i right to assume that If i want to lower my saddles and still get a decent action i should shim the neck side of the pocket?
Or shim the bridge side to get the better action and raise my saddles even more and just forget about the insane saddle height but rejoice in the near perfect action. Which way to I shim???????
I'm sure that I would benefit from a fret level but I trying to avoid that route right now.
