Please help identify this RG

Hello,
Just got my first Ibanez (used) -- LOVE IT -- but don't know what it is. I was wondering if I could get some of you guys to help me out.

Apparently I'm not allowed to post pics on this forum, so I'll do my best to describe it.

Shape: looks like an RG

Color: Brown Snakeskin -- large pattern, like a Boa or someting

PUPs: 1 humbucker, 2 single coils

Bridge: Black Floyd-type with no markings. When I took it apart saw "Ibanez, EDGE and Japan" engraved in the metal block where the spring hook

Serial Number: F924438 (behind the headstock) and Made in Japan

The only other similar guitar I found on the web is the Silversnake, but this does not seem to be the same. For starters the Silversnake looks shiny (metallic) and this one is not. Plus, the Silversnake is a USA model and mine says Japan all over.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Do you see it on this page of the '91 catalog?

Re: Please help identify this RG

YES! UCMDIST... that's the exact same finish! Thanks AYRTON!

Only mine has a rosewood fretboard with the sharkfin inlays and my knobs are the regular knurled metal-dome kind. Apparently same unlabeled black pickups as well.

Maybe they sold this finish in Japan versions as well?

The forum will not allow me to post pics.

Here's one posted on my own site.

Oh my, are you serious? I paid $250 for it... that would be nice bonus!

Not that I would've cared anyway, this guitar is awesome and I'd still be stoked with it even if it was a Chinese copy of an Indonesian model.

Serial number is F924438, so I do believe it is a 1989 model.

So I gather it's not a particular RG model like a Rg760 or something like that, huh? It's just called USA Custom Serpent?

Damn, they must've only made two of these (mine and yours) 'cause I can't find a thing about it online. LOL

Thanks for the info!

no..there must be more than 2 but they are different because you can order them how you liked them in those days.wich neck,pu,fretboard, headstock reversed or not, painted edge of the body.the body is based on a 760 heel joint is like the jem.the finisch is like the flower pattern(same material different print).very good guitar.and very rare.its like the grapic serie .but then different looks.
