PLEASE HELP WITH ZERO RESISTANCE (ZR) TREMOLO !!!

I'm sorry, this is a really noobish question ! But, the thing is that i recently got a s520ex with ZR trem. Everywhere, i have heard that the tremolo arm is a screw in. But when i tried doing that, it doesn't tighten! I need step by step help please, someone help me. I don't think im missing anything, so i guess i'm just a noob with this style of tremolo. Please help quickly!

Re: PLEASE HELP WITH ZERO RESISTANCE (ZR) TREMOLO !!!

the trem arm is not a screw in. I thought it had a bushing that has a little allen screw that you tighten with the smallest allen wrench.

OR the bushing itself is the screw-in type.

I could be wrong.

Re: PLEASE HELP WITH ZERO RESISTANCE (ZR) TREMOLO !!!

you have to push it in for a certain amount, then screw while pushing, then just continue screwing

Re: PLEASE HELP WITH ZERO RESISTANCE (ZR) TREMOLO !!!

well put Davy

I checked out this guitar in my local store. Them being a bunch of idiots the trem arm wasnt on the guitar. So they set out to go find it. It took em bout 15 minutes and they came back with something chrome that needed screwing. So I did and eventually it worked.

I quite liked the ZR to be honest. way better then a TRS or those Edge 2s (3?) they stick on Korean RGTs

Youd have make a lot of rounds to actually get it tight tho

make sure the arm tightening screw is loosened. used to happen to me to, push it down a bit and it might click, then the arm can be screwed in.

Update guys, I looked at the trem arm, and it has two white bushings, and is made of black metal. I don't see any apparent threadings on it, so i'm not sure what im supposed to be screwing.

Take a picture of the trem and the arm so we can see what you're talking about

Everyone, here is an image of what the trem arm loooks like. As you can see,no threads, and I'm not sure if its supposed to go with the ZR system or not .

Re: PLEASE HELP WITH ZERO RESISTANCE (ZR) TREMOLO !!!

I can't see the picture. But if you have a black arm with two white plastic bushings, it's not the correct arm.
the ZR trem arm is threaded!!
It is a screw in arm, with adjustable "stiffness", the latter is done by tightening the cap that goes over the arm.
