Possibly a new guitar day ahead...

So, I went ahead and sold my ltd ec-1000 deluxe without any pups for 500 euros and now I've got an offer for a really nice rg 620 for 500 euros. If i'm not mistaken, it is actually like 520, but with three way toggle quite like john petrucci models were. I think it has mahogany body with quilted maple veneer (?), original edge and the pups are duncan jb and dimarzio paf pro. It has got a couple of dings and that's about it, so it's in very nice condition. I couldn't find any additional info on this model, but I think it might go nicely alongside my 3120, as it's mahogany with maple top too. And they're both blue.

Anyone has some info on this model? I tried looking ibanez wiki and stuff, but it's like it never existed.

Re: Possibly a new guitar day ahead...

Try this:

It's not quite like the RG3120. It's not mahogany, it's nato. Nato is not REALLY a quality hardwood (I mean, it IS wood...) but it's kind of a cheap substitute for one. Like pseudo-mahogany. Also, the neck is the Ultra profile, not wizard. They look nice tho.

Yeah, I know what nato is.. I was hoping it would be "real" mahogany like my 3120, but nope, it's John Testo. Damn. Maybe I'm better off without this one. I had one 570 on my sight, but it was sold before i could fork the cash out. It was really nice lipatick red one with yellow dimarzios and it was 400 euros. Oh well, can't have everything, can I now?

Thanks for the info mate

Nato sounds pretty good dude. I wouldn't let that change your decision.

Re: Possibly a new guitar day ahead...

I once had a bc rich assassin, which was nato and it was ok.. But it's still a bit letdown, as I was under the impression it was mahogany. But biggest turnoff is that it's not neon colored. I love bright colors on guitars and I've already got blue flame maple ibanez.. Oh well, I've got to think this over thoroughtly.
