Re: Post Pics of your Artcore or Archtop(s) Families too!

Here we go. It's a 2006 Artcore AS73 in transparent cherry.

It's all stock even though when I first got it, I thought about Gibson Classic '57s, TV Jones Filtertrons, or Seymour Duncan '59s but I was able to work with the inexpensive Ibanez ACH humbuckers just fine pushing one of three Marshall stacks (JCM 800, 900, and 2000). At the highest volumes and standing too close, I can get uncontrollable feedback but other than that they can really be pushed quite a bit and hold up nicely.

The AS73 is my #2 guitar with a solidbody ESP/LTD Viper 301 being my main all around guitar. If I had an Ibanez solidbody for a main guitar, I would like either a JS100 Satch guitar or an RG, but if could find one, an old Blazer 500 or 550 model from the 1980s. Another guitar which I could yield like a small solidbody, but is actually a small Artcore, is the AXD81 and I could have that be my top guitar for everything and I have seen one I liked recently. The strat shaped small bodied Artcore (AWD83T) with standard tremolo seems like a nice guitar, too and would probably really work well with DiMarzio humbuckers and push pull pots.

Now the real question is, how many does the wife think you have?

At first I would think he didn't have a wife, but his bio says he does. This leaves me to two conclusions: he's either a man-child with doting wife that cuts up his steak and brushes his hair or a real professional musician. It turns out to be the latter.

My first jazz guitar teacher lived in nice ocean front home and he had one guitar, a crappy one at that. I think he spent his money on alcohol. But I wondered how he could afford this house but then I found out he plays for a little known, but high paying dude named Miles Davis. Years later I dated a girl with one crappy keyboard (nice house though), alcohol issues, too and she was the keyboardist for Count Basie. She was also set up. What's with all these talented drunkards, single instruments, and nice homes?

That is so cool. We have small house so I have main guitar, the LTD Viper, and the backup (the Artcore AS-73 above), and a small practice amp. At most I may get another small practice amp that doesn't have issues as much with florescent lights. The drummer I jam with has 20+ guitars/basses/stuff and tons of amps and PA so that makes it really easy on anybody in a band with him. I was in another band with a drummer who had the whole studio set up. I think with drums, it makes sense to set them up just right and piece by piece build a studio around it with all the other gear anybody will ever have to use. All anybody has to do is to show up.

Freakin' amazing. Great collection and it looks like you are chasing the late, great Chinery (guy who owns the original ten million dollar Batmobile).

Who the heck needs solidbody guitars, except for maybe the stray Joe Satriani or maybe 50s blackguard tele.

I love to play all styles of music and guitars!
I've been in a real Rockabilly / Twang / Jazz phase.

I still jam with friends on my JEMs playing Rock and Metal too.
