I am quite interested in this too, although I would also add to that list a Bareknuckles Nailbomb and Warpig. I thing they can wind those for 7's if you order from them.

Re: Post your 7 string sound bytes

Maybe slightly off topic, but you might want to check out the jukebox over at http://sevenstring.org

There's a ton of great 7-string guitar music in there. All of the guys in the jukebox post at the site, and they'd be sure to answer your questions as to what gear, guitars, pickups, etc., they use.

Re: Post your 7 string sound bytes

After getting some great help from [email protected] and [email protected], I recorded this new clip.
Kindly excuse playing errors (off bend) as I was too concerned about getting right sound.

setup: RG7620 w/ AN7 in neck position -> mesa single recto head + marshall 1960BV + sennheiser e609 + VTB-1 preamp -> m-audio Delta 1010LT.

http://s44.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0...531S293S2FSPM2

suggestions to improve the tone will be great. There is NO EQing or whatsoever, coz I don't know what the hell it means. cheers !

I'll give you a clip maybe over the weekend - a UV7PWH with Blaze bridge and neck, into a Nomad 45 2x12

Re: Post your 7 string sound bytes

I can probably make up a sound clip for you of a PAF-7 in mohagony, or find one later that I recorded some time ago. You'll have to ignore my playing though, I'm pretty rusty right now

Re: Post your 7 string sound bytes

hey guys i failed by putting dimarzio blaze neck into ax7221 bridge and it sounds worse than ibanez grg170DX with stock pickups. actually the ax7221 has never sounded good . do you think i should try out another pickup for bridge for ax7221 or maybe its cheap mahoganys fault that it sounds like **** and i should get a basswood 7string?

anyone with a mahogany 7 please post your bites

and those who prommised to post some , please do it so

i need a pickup for playing rock/alternative/metaly rythm
so play rythm (power chords) please
