Thanks. It plays super awesome, too. Piezos in it sound awesome too, but I'm getting very slight fret buzz from them because the action is quite low and the strings are pretty light. I have 9 to 52s on it now. thinking of going back to 10 to 56s

My jaw dropped. I didn't expect something that awesome outside of a custom shop.

How much did you pay for it? What model is it? Are the switches for piezo?

Cheers, FPRO

Nice choice of amps, by the way. Mark's are the best!

Cool Re: Post your 7-strings!

Although i have seen the same model of guitar with much tighter and straight flame tops i like this ones "am i a quilt or a flame??" type confusion.

And it plays awesome.

Yeah, they are definitely not cheap, but if you compare it to say a PRS custom shop 7 string, it's a much better deal. Plus I picked my neck profile. I designed the inlay (although it's being used on others now) for him to put on mine. That was the only thing that bothered me, but I should have wrote down only put it on mine. Overall I'm very happy with the instrument. I compared it my buddy's PRS Mccarty rosewood neck model and we both thought the Abyss played much better.

The neck is a little thick if you're used to Ibanez necks, but you get used to it. I love the tone of the extended scale though, really tightens that low B string up.

Though mine is pretty far from stock. I took advantage of how cheap tune'o'matics are and swapped all the hardware for chrome(something I'm loath to do on a trem guitar just for looks lol). Also changed pickups to Dimarzios(D-Sonic7 and Blaze Neck).

The bridge pickup has been replaced with a Bare Knuckles Warpig, and I've also installed a Tremol-no.

Re: Post your 7-strings!

That's the Carvin that gave me GAS for one, and inspired me to buy mine!

C7 Blackjack.

The neck is pretty damn thick. It's comfortable to me now, but it's not like a Wizard neck at all. Think more like a 7-string version of a Les Paul neck.
