Powder Cosmo versus Cosmo Black Hardware

Hi, i have realized that many Rgs come with the powder cosmo or cosmo black hardware.
Does anyone know what is the main difference between them and which is better?
Im sure there are advantages and disadvantages of each.

As far as I know it's all about aesthetics, like the "in" colour of demin jeans changes from year to year, so does the colour of Ibanez's hardware

I'm not aware of any significant performance differences though I hsould imagine that powder coated trems suffer less from pitting.

There is no Powder Cosmo, colr code for Cosmo is K, it's PC, Powder Coat. This is the gray powder coat, all other colors have their own name.

Nothing is scratchproof.

PC is the latest new finish type. Durability, time will tell. I've seen a PC Lo Pro and the tops of every saddle was worn bare. If it wasn't for that I'd say it's as durable as Black. Any plate is going to wear, and any of them will blister and pimple if you don't keep them clean.

I've noticed that after only two months, the pickup rings on my RG570 are already starting to discolor. They are the grayish toned ones. The edge, tuners, knobs and everything else are fine.

The hardware rub really bugs me with Ibbies. Sometimes I have the feeling that I can just wipe the coating off just watching I've got vintage silver on my S-series and it turned to chrome in no time at some spots....I think I am going to put plastic pu-rings on it that won't rub. This is another reason that I am a big direct-mount fan!
