pre-RG ngd.

Howdy mates!

It's once again a new guitar day! This time I found a guitar that has been haunting me for years now. Well, not exactly the one that's been haunting me, but same model anyway.

I used to own a yellow (painted it myself) roadstar guitar 440p, which is here:

I sold it like a sucker and have regretted it since.

Yesterday I saw an ad of a similar guitar and it was in my hometown, so I jumped on the deal right away. Today I went and collected it.

Here's some pics:

This guitar is just as nice as I remembered. As you can see, the original roadstar guitar wasn't same shape as the RG these days.. More strat-like and 22 frets.

Specs are:
Basswood body
Maple neck with rosewood fretboard
Edge
Seymour Duncan custom, original super 8 single (I'll probably swap it to dimarzio I have laying around), and duncan little '59.

This model was made in 1987 only. It's the year I was born

Thanks for watching!

Nice find on a rare guitar Here's a pic of mine....It still had the Ibanez Vintage humbucker
and the "edge" hang tag & extra set of bar bushings. Came w/original case as well....
I love the neck profile on these....

Ohh, nice... My earlier 440p had original pups too.

Re: pre-RG ngd.

Wow Frost!! Thats awesome!!!

I actually like the white better than the yellow!!!

How cool to have one of your first guitars again, getting a 770 again was like re-visiting my early 20's. Just awesome!!

Re: pre-RG ngd.

Thanks guys.

RGTFanatic, the white looks quite good. I'm actually surprised by it. A slightly beaten white guitar = awesome. It's like me, slightly beaten, white and '87.. and ofcourse, I'm awesome too.. j/k
