Prestige RG confusion

I went into a local guitar shop yesterday and played a 7 string prestige, im a little confused as to what it was though. Specs were as follows...

1 pc neck
no inlays
double edge piezo loaded bridge
NO maple top
vintage violin finish

Any Ideas guys?

The guitar you were playing was the now discontinued RG2027, perhaps the best high end 7 Ibanez has but out.

it was discontinued a few years back due to players favouring signature 7's over the workhourse RG series.

There may still be a few floating around in ebay and in music shops like.

Seems like a reasonable price to me, especially considering how rare they are. But then, I don't know how much they usually go for or the average prices of guitars over there.

Not extremely rare, but they are discontinued, and most people seem to want to keep the ones they have, so you don't see them for sale very often.

the only model i'd take over the 2027 is the RG7CST, although i've never played either. it's (i think) almost the same thing but with a flamed maple top and other j custom features. if you have the chance to get either i would go for it.
