Price check and rareity of RBM2

Hey, Guys.

I've been gassing over a Ibanez Reb Beach Voyager and I'm not sure why... I wish I could try one of these guitars in person before I start gassing. I'm curious how often does one pass over a RBM2? I see a lot more of the RBM1's and I was also wondering about price as well.

Just one more question how different are the necks? I saw prior to 93' the neck was a RBM profile and for 93' I believe it was the ultra neck.

Thanks for all the info!

Re: Price check and rareity of RBM2

RBM2's are pretty rare. I remember reading somewhere that there were somewhere in the neighborhood of 300 made, but I can't find where I read that. So that makes them about as rare as PMC or GMC Jems, so rare.

If you look in Rich's classifieds, there is a pretty heavily used one he sold for $2250. That guitar had been on eBay briefly for $1600 I think. I paid around $2000 for a pretty heavily used one a few years ago and I had the opportunity to buy one for $1400 that had a big crack down the center of the body, but I didn't have the money at the time.

Then there's the other end of the spectrum that you see more often. Rich's ad from 2011 has one for $3250, which is a more typical price. There was a really nice one on eBay last year for $3500.

So in all, you might see 1-3 a year come up for sale if you really watch closely.

Wow RBM's are on the high end of Ibanez collector guitars. And all this time I thought the Paul Stanley Destroyer and Holdsworth AH-10 were the rare end of Ibanezes (outside stuff like DNAs)
