Prices gone up?

Looking at a 3250mz, but the price is about $1600 plus shipping. This is about 1000. I remember I bought my rg550 20th rfr for about 700 shipped from the US. Have prices gone up a lot , or is the 3250mz a more expensive guitar?

Re: Prices gone up?

prices are very high for many reasons.. mainly the exchange rate... just look at the RRP on a JEM, now about 3275 and 4 or so years ago (with exchange rate 260) it was 1800, the quality and construction of the guitar has not changed.
it good for us, our prices are now comparable to the MIJ Ibanez.. example, RG2228 1724 Jaden Rose Guitars Spider 8 string 1749...

Re: Prices gone up?

The dollar isn't worth what is was a few years ago. For instance, I was going to buy a new Roland GR-20 with the pickup a few years ago for $499, but held off. Big mistake. I saw it in guitar center for $799 yesterday. Have you checked the price of gas and food lately? Everything is going up.
