Pro Line PL-2550

Hi guys, I can pick up this guitar for 350 bucks, just wondering what you're opinions on it are? Its a black neckthrough one. I currently have an RG570, is it pretty similar?

Re: Pro Line PL-2550

The biggest differences will be (a) the finished neck and a meatier profile on the neckthrough PL2550 and (b) the distance between strings and body, since the PL's EDGE trem has no rear rout. Then of course the pickup and switch configuration is different.

Re: Pro Line PL-2550

the PL2550 is a great guitar, very well built and super versatile instrument. the stock pickups are good but nothing more IMO, so you might be wanting to replace them. btw, here's how the alternative pickup switching system works, pretty smart, i think.

Re: Pro Line PL-2550

They are great guitars. I would definitely buy it for $350. I spent $800 on mine when I bought it new in 1987. IMHO the stock pickups are terrible and I really didn't have much use for the push-button pickup selector so I disconnected the buttons and replaced the pickups with Seymore Duncan Metal Live Wires. The guitar screams.

Re: Pro Line PL-2550

$350 is a total steal for that guitar, IMHO. Nice catch!
