I'm digging a H-S-S version of the PGM301.

I'd go for it.

I heard something about PG getting a guitar with the pickups from the Jumpstart package after he advertised it because he liked the tone.

Or is that me talking BS lol

No that's true

I'd love a H-S-S, but I'm not 100% on the painted neck.

The more I think about this (it's not a lot of thinking, but still perhaps more than it needs ) the more I agree.

That would put me right off too actually.

I could get used to a painted neck if I really, really had to for the right guitar. But un-painted neck just feels natural now, as I'm sure it does to alot of Ibanez users. It's a small price to pay though if it's a guitar your really gas'ing for.

I've got a great idea - strip the paint and put whatever colour you want to on your guitar. Hey - if you're that picky about it, and you want the perfect guitar - you can't expect a company to bend over backwards for you. Now you're just being selfish. This is just a reply to all the "why can't Ibanez make more colours" posts.

Who wants to do that, though? We've had this conversation many times before anyway. Very few of us want to buy a guitar and then get it stripped and repainted at a cost of hundreds of dollars / pounds / whatever. Besides, why is a choice of colours "bending over backwards"? Car manufacturers do it, clothes manufacturers do it, and other guitar companies do it. Why not Ibanez? It's not asking for too much because THEY USED TO DO IT AND NOW THEY DON'T!

Yeah thats a shame - if they used to I can see why everyone would be upset. I remember buying my strat and getting to choose from maybe 5 colours.

Good old Fender, eh. I particularly like their Daphne blue. That's a great finish.

Yeah I've got a Fat Strat Texas Special with a pearly gates humbucker in the bridge - in Candy Apple Red. Fantastic colour! With the pearloid pickguard it just looks classy.
