Project Conversion. S540 resto-resto

After my failed attempts to make a carbon fiber s540, I lost care of it, and it sat around and I dinked with it, and it didnt come out well at all. So I am redoing it, not sure of what color, I will sleep on it

Anyway, started today as this :

Then I sanded/filled with bondo

After many hours of sanding and prep work.... I failed to take a picture. But thats ok, you can imagine what its like.

but heres my fresh, clean slate to deal with in my makeshift paint booth.

Dude the EVH is THE easiest paint job to do bar solid colors.

I take that back, the stripes are much more DIY friendly than a solid color, ad it is much more forgiving to imperfections than a big solid expanse of highly reflective color.

I vote EVH, just use Ibanez colors, pink, green and yellow or something.

Re: Project Conversion. S540 resto-resto

You're getting there.
I think you should play around with the width and spacing of the stripes.
As they sit now, it seems like when the pup rings and trem are in they will interfere with the flow you have going on there.
See how on the yellow one the rings fall in the middle of the wide stripe? Where will yours fall as you have it mocked now?

Liking it though.
