Prs se custom 24

I've been Gasing over a 2013 Se custom 24 for a while now.
But the made in Korea puts me off a little, i did have a Gibson Les Paul studio but i bought it blind and i was later sorry as it was like a plank of wood.
Does anyone here have one are they any good or just a plank of wood I don't fancy making another mistake.

Re: Prs se custom 24

I have one. I'm selling mine but only because I just bought a US one!

Great guitar and I seriously recommend them. Probably the best Korean-source guitar out there. Sounds and plays great!

The only downers tend to be the tuners and the nut. They aren't _bad_ but that's just where you particularly notice it isn't a US model. However, both of those are easily replaced if you so wish, so you can chuck a set of locking tuners in there.

The trem is vintage style, so no dive bombing theatrics, but feels very solid.

Get one.

I was looking at one of these as well, although I've heard mixed reviews about the upper fret access.

Is the neck heel bad on these? Unfortunately there are no PRS dealers around my area in order to try out.

You must not have played any of the PRS SE guitars. They are brilliant. I've not played a bad one. For the money they are right up there.

I just sold mine a few weeks ago and I regret it everyday, that guitar played so amazingly well. I plan on re-buying one as soon as I have enough spare funds, the quality was top notch.

Re: Prs se custom 24

I own a PRS SE Custom semi-hollow and I love it. Great guitar for the price. As far as neck heel I thought I was going to hate it (and I don't have big hands), but love the design. I can wrap my hand around it and latch on when playing on the higher frets. I agree w/the tuners comment. Thinking of replacing mine and putting the American stop tail piece on it. That way I can have individual adjustment of the saddles. Anyway I highly recommend these if you can't afford the American version.
