Put some pyramids on my custom build.

I wanted to give this guitar some glam. The pyramids are bigger than I was expecting, but are pretty cool.

Re: Put some pyramids on my custom build.

Pretty cool man... IDK why Jockmo makes them so damn big. I got some for one of my swirls and they look a little too cartoonish at that size.

Those look real good with the black kind of hiding how big they really are though

I have one of those 540P bodies on the way in the mail right now... I'm going with an opposite color scheme. Ebony stain and white pickups, going to use a bound neck from an MIJ RG421

I like the reverse headstock on yours it fits the body style nice... What is it?

Yeah. The pyramids are huge. I thought I bought UV pyramids by accident. Oh well....

The neck is a Wizard II. I was thinking of having Perle make me a reverse headstock, but I'm still on the fence

Re: Put some pyramids on my custom build.

Hey man if you like the way it plays that's all that matters... IDK if I'd spend that kind of cash just for inlays if I was happy with the neck already

What kind of wood is the body?

Nah man I was talking about buying an entire custom neck like you said you were thinking about. I meant if I was happy with the way the neck that's on it plays, I wouldn't spend the cash on a custom neck just for real inlays...

How do you like the tone of it. Do you have any basswood RG's to compare it to?

Not such a fan of those inlay stickers, but I really like the finish you put on the body.

Oh I got you. The wizard II neck is ok, just not my fav.

The tone is ok. I am a dimarzio guy but this one had some SD's in it. It sounds nice and beefy

Re: Put some pyramids on my custom build.

Those inlays look great are they that little bit bigger to cover the dot inlays...I was thinking about doing that myself to a PGM 30 but drilling out the 12 and 24th fret dot markers and filling them and cutting the inlays then the the correct size...I think that might work well...or I might just use the DNA inlays without having to drill out the frets!

*lol* It just dawned on me you do this all the time.....love the "Me Gusta" seal of approval. Awesome looking guitar and I like that it is a hardtail, but with those cool inlays you need some paint on that body......just sayin.
