Is it fairly easy to put a regular nut on a Floyd equipped Wizard neck?
Im gonna order an original Wizard neck for my RG421. Already found a fellow who sells em, would there be any issues finding a proper nut to put in place of the Floyd nut, or would i have to take it to a tech to get it custom fitted in?
I think you would gain a bit of sustain having a metal nut vs a plastic one. I think you should just leave it on there! you might have to adjust the action a tid but, but thats less work than installing a new nut
There was a thread here a while ago where the same thing was discussed... The allparts.com solution seems like an easy and clean mod...I'd go with that if you plan to change your tunings often...If not, than why not leave the locking nut...
thanks fellas, I was thinking the exact same thing.
It could be interesting to see HOW stable it would be if the strings were stetched well and then locked. She might NEVER go outta tune
